Cerialis: Commander of the Ninth Legion, in eastern Britannia.
Cernunnos: Celtic god, with antlers on his head.
Claudia Acte: Nero’s mistress.
Claudia Octavia: Daughter of Roman Emperor Claudius, unfortunate wife of Emperor Nero.

Corbulo: Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo, Roman general, served in Germania and in the Parthian War.
Domitia Lepida: beautiful, rich, Empress Messalina’s mother and wife of Silanus.
Gamo: The Emperor Nero’s personal bodyguard. A man not to be messed with.
Gaius Silius: lover of Empress Messalina.
Halotus: Chief Steward of the Imperial Palace in Rome. Food taster for the Emperor.
Imperial German Bodyguard / Germanii: Bodyguard of the Emperor, responsible for protecting the imperial family in the palace.
Marcus Vinicius: Roman military commander in the invasion of Britannia, executed on Messalina‘s orders.
Messalina: Empress of Rome, wife of Claudius. Mother of Claudia Octavia and Britannicus.
Mnester: actor, lover of Messalina. Claudius would whip anyone who interrupted his performances.
Narcissus: Ex-slave and Secretary to the Roman emperor Claudius. Powerful and intelligent.

Pallas: Treasurer to Emperor Claudius. Extremely rich. Rumoured to be Agrippina’s lover.
Plautius: Aulus Plautius, commander in the invasion of Britannia, first governor of Britannia.
Polybius: secretary to Claudius, probably executed by Messalina after she tired of him as a lover.
Publius Ostorius Scapula: second governor of Britannia, captor of Caratacus.
Publius Suillius Rufus: notorious lawyer, convicted of taking bribes.
Rufrius Crispinus: Prefect of the Praetorian guard. Rich, powerful, and dangerous.
Seneca the Younger: Philosopher, statesman, and dramatist. Tutor and adviser to Nero.
Sextus Afranius Burrus: Praetorian Guard Prefect after Rufrius Crispinus. Adviser to Nero.
Silanus: Appius Junius Silanus, husband of Messalina‘s mother Domitia Lepida, executed by Claudius.
